Update on COVID-19 situation in UK

All LEMAN services are still running

24. March

The spread of COVID-19 in the UK and the rest of Europe has reached a point where governments in multiple countries have imposed severe restrictions.

For the time being, we cannot rule out delays in transport in the area, but of course we do everything we can to ensure that your goods arrive in the best, quickest, and safest way. Due to the current extraordinary situation, all lead times are suspended.

The UK Government has now outlined the below mentioned measures. We know it is a very unsettling time and we appreciate everyone’s efforts; particularly our drivers and warehouse teams, who are attending work everyday. We are still running our service from our warehouses to support business continuity. At the same time, we will continue to review our requirements and will provide further updates early next week. At LEMAN we will apply to the internal measures, we have put in place and follow all Government advise.

  • People must stay at home except for shopping for basic necessities, for exercise but only once a day, any medical need and travel to work but only if essential.
  • Shops selling non-essential goods will also be closed and gatherings in public of more than two people who do not live together are being prohibited.
  • Other premises including libraries, playgrounds, outdoor gyms, and places of worship must also shut.
  • Funerals can still go ahead but weddings have been banned, as have baptisms and other ceremonies.
  • Parks will remain open for exercise but gatherings will be dispersed, with police being handed the power to step in and enforce the new measures.

At LEMAN we recommend you and all employees to follow the Recommendations on how to act when recieving and shipping goods.
