LEMAN multiplies the Pharma warehouse capacity

The international freight forwarding and logistics company LEMAN is growing and expanding the warehousing facilities in Greve, which gives customers completely new opportunities. Following a constructive dialogue with two of the company’s customers, the warehouse has been expanded considerably, so that the capacity has multiplied. In addition to storage at +15-25 degrees, LEMAN can now offer to store active substances (API) on frost down to -20 degrees, while the storage area at + 2-8 degrees has been upgraded to a closed cold chain solution. ”For a number of years, we have invested heavily in the pharma segment, so I am pleased that we can now offer our customers even better solutions and grow with them,” says Thomas Krøyer, Group CEO at LEMAN.

GROWTH THROUGH COLLABORATION

The two customers are the global pharmaceutical companies, Xellia Pharmaceuticals ApS, and Dechra Veterinary Products A/S, with which LEMAN has had a long-term collaboration. Both are happy with the collaboration and have recently signed new contracts with LEMAN.

”We are expecting strong growth in the years to come. This places great demands on logistics, and it is important that we have a supply chain partner who can act quickly and keep up, as we scale up globally, ” says Anders Rasmussen, Senior Logistics Manager at Dechra and is supplemented by Anders Dorph, Senior Director Global Supply Chain at Xellia: “LEMAN is a partner that delivers quality and has a good understanding of our world and everyday life. Xellia has grown strongly over a number of years, and it is, therefore, necessary for us to have an international logistics partner with the ability to grow with us.”

FACILITIES OF THE HIGHEST STANDARD

From the warehouse in Greve, LEMAN distributes pharmaceutical products daily to the whole world. This applies to everything from clinical trials and active substances to ready-made pharmaceuticals. Pharmaceutical companies and their suppliers are today met by enormously high demands from both authorities and customers, and the GMP and GDP approved facilities as well as LEMAN’s procedures therefore also reflect this.

“Our position is that we must always deliver towering quality so that we at least live up to the requirements of the authorities and our customers. In addition, we work continuously to optimize our processes and solutions so that we constantly improve and can meet the needs of our customers and the market,” says Gert Christiansen, Vice President Pharma Healthcare at LEMAN, who is very happy about the partnerships and emphasizes that he looks forward to a continued good cooperation.
